This technique is excellent

Abdul Basit   (25 February 2008)  University Hospital of North Staffordshire email

After reading this paper we have used this technique of mastectomy incision for patients that have large axillary and lateral chest wall folds. It works well particularly if the mastectomy incision is designed in a way that it is oblique as opposed to a transverse incision. The other alternative is to use a fish tail incision which we have also used on some occasions. A Fish Tail incision also works well but requires an extra extension of the incision as mentioned in the above paper.
